1 Corinthians 11:27-28
27 Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord. 28Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
Questions for Self-Examination
(1) Do I really acknowledge myself to be a sinner?
(2) Do I recognize that it was my sin which caused Christ’s death?
(3) Do I understand that I cannot contribute one thing to my salvation, it is by God’s grace alone?
(4) Do I believe that Christ’s work alone saves me?
(5) Do I rest and rely upon Jesus alone for my salvation?
(6) Have I committed myself, by God’s grace, to show true thankfulness to God in all areas of my life?
(7) Am I sincerely trying, by God’s grace, to walk faithfully with him?
(8) Am I honestly endeavoring, by God’s grace, to live an upright life and to live in love and peace with my neighbor — especially those that are members of the church.
(9) Do I earnestly desire, by God’s grace, to turn away from my sin and live repentantly?
