Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are the ages for baseball / softball?

T-Ball            - Ages 5-7

Coach Pitch  - Ages 7 10 & girls age 11

Softball          - Ages 12-16

       There is overlap for the 7 year-olds. 

Depending on the skills evaluation, the coach & parent will decide what league is best for the child

      We will not have kid pitch baseball this year.

The baseball committee made this decision based on previous years and lack of participation.

2. When is registration?

      June 19^th 10:30am – 12pm

3. What is the cost?

      $35 (2009 price) – Includes playing, jersey, hat, trophy and team picture.

      Scholarships are available. 

Please talk with Scott Burgess, baseball chairman, on registration day.

4. Can I register early?

      No… early registrations will not be accepted. 

Please have a family member or friend bring the registration form by on June 19^th between 10:30 & 12pm. 

      We must field the league on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Space is limited.

      We highly recommend that your child attend registration day because of the skills evaluation. 

This is important to help us evenly distribute the teams.

5. How many nights a week?

      Typically, a team will practice twice a week for ~ 3 weeks and then begin playing games twice a week. 

Note:  Practice and game schedules are driven by the number of teams we have for each league and can’t be guaranteed.

6. How long does the season last?

      June 19^th – August 21^st

7. Can my child be on her friend’s team?

We strive to meet special requests, but we can not guarantee to fulfill each one.

This information should be listed in “Additional Comments” on the registration form.

8. How can I get a Registration Form?

   Forms will be available on Registration Day OR

   Stop by the church office to pick one up OR

   Online.
